The Crowne Compact Urn Vault for Box Burial - Gray is designed to hold the simple box of ashes (sometimes called a temporary container) provided by many funeral homes so that the box can be buried. This urn vault is made of sturdy materials that will protect its contents when buried in the ground. A water-tight adhesive is provided to seal the box of ashes within the vault. 

Many cemeteries require the use of an urn vault to protect the ashes from the elements as well as from possible damage from heavy cemetery equipment. IMPORTANT: The size of this vault is not large enough for many adult cremation urns made of metal, ceramic, marble, wood, etc. For those needs, you should look at the Crowne Urn Vault Single - Gray, the Guardian Urn Vault White, or similar single urn vaults.

The urn vault is constructed of a high tech polymer to maximize strength and durability and has been tested to withstand 6,300 pounds of top load pressure. The color is a mottled gray pattern meant to look like granite. The vault will not corrode or deteriorate. Made in USA.

If you select the optional box/temporary container, please note that it is made of black plastic and has the following dimensions: 6.25 inches L x 8.25 inches H x 4.5 inches D. The box is placed lengthwise in the box. The lid is hinged and snaps closed.
